We are looking for someone to work 2-4 days per week during the school holidays.

You will provide an onboard refreshment service to passengers onboard our trains at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Maximising sales and serving customers in a polite and professional manner.

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is one of the world’s greatest heritage railways, operating 24 miles of track through the stunning North York Moors National Park.

  • You Will
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, serving customers and passengers refreshments onboard the train services.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all areas.
  • Be aware of good Health & Safety compliance requirements and working practices.
  • Clear tables and keep carriages clean during services.
  • Ensure the trolley / buffet cars are stocked up at the end of the day ready for the following service.
  • Responsible for handling money and and completing weekly takings sheets.
  • Record all complimentary drinks.
  • Assist with deliveries, stock control and ordering when necessary.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role
  • Numerically Literate
  • Over 18 - due to the selling of alcohol
  • Excellent customer and communication skills.
  • 22 days annual leave per year - pro rata for part-time/part-year.
