We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications and providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the correct medications in a timely manner. Your expertise in pharmacy operations will contribute to the overall health and wellbeing of our patients.
Duties
- Accurately dispense prescription medications as per established protocols and guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of medication orders, ensuring all necessary information is included.
- Provide medication administration support under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Engage with patients to provide information regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage instructions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in dispensing medications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
