Are you an experienced HGV Technician seeking a new opportunity with a progressive and respected organisation? We are excited to offer a fantastic night shift position at our Wigan site. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our customers' vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring their fleets remain on the road and performing at their best. You will work with industry-leading trucks in a modern, fully equipped workshop, supported by a skilled and friendly team. Day and night shifts available to suit the right candidate. Working 38.5-40 hours per week. Salary: Starting from £40,000 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform servicing and repairs on HGV vehicles, adhering to the rigorous quality standards within the Commercial Motor Industry.
- Utilising your expertise in diagnosing defects to accurately identify and address mechanical issues.
- Collaborating effectively within a team of professionals, fostering cooperation to achieve operational goals.
- Demonstrating a positive and proactive approach when solving technical problems, contributing to the smooth workflow of the workshop.
- Communicating clearly and effectively with colleagues, ensuring seamless information documentation and exchange regarding repair processes and progress.
- Adhering to company and dealer processes and procedures, meeting and exceeding targets, proactively reporting any opportunities for improvement and actively participating in training to maintain and develop skills.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Special Requirements:
- HGV license would be an advantage but not essential.
- Experience as a qualified HGV technician.
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
- Irtec licence.
