North West Trucks are looking for an experienced and motivated Nightshift Supervisor to lead our busy Warrington workshop operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and commercial vehicle workshop experience to join a professional and growing team. As Nightshift Supervisor, you will oversee the smooth and efficient running of the workshop during night operations, ensuring high standards of productivity, safety, and customer service are maintained at all times. You will lead a team of technicians and support staff while ensuring vehicles are repaired and maintained to the highest standards with minimal downtime for customers.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6.00 pm to 6.30 am, i.e. 48 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid).

Salary: Dependent on experience (will be discussed at interview stage).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the nightshift workshop team.
  • Allocate workloads and manage daily workshop activity.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance.
  • Monitor productivity and workshop performance.
  • Support and develop technicians through coaching and guidance.
  • Liaise with management and customers regarding vehicle progress.
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain accurate job and workshop documentation.

Ideally, we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or workshop leadership role.
  • HGV/commercial vehicle workshop experience preferred.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding of workshop health & safety procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach.
