North West Trucks is a well-established commercial vehicle specialist, providing high-quality servicing, maintenance, and repairs to HGVs and commercial vehicles. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our busy workshop in Warrington.
As Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. You will lead and motivate a team of technicians while maintaining excellent customer service and workshop performance.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, between 6.00am to 6.30pm, 2 shift patterns (45 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break unpaid).
Salary: Dependent on experience (will be discussed at interview stage).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support workshop technicians and apprentices.
- Plan and allocate daily workloads to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with DVSA standards and company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
- Liaise with service advisors, parts, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor productivity, quality of work, and technician performance.
- Assist with diagnostics and complex repairs where required.
Ideally, we are looking for:
- Proven experience in an HGV or commercial vehicle workshop environment.
- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of HGV servicing, maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
- Relevant HGV or mechanical qualifications.
