Location: North West England

Salary: £34,500 per annum (47.5 hours) + Saturday overtime

Hours: Mon–Fri 7 am–5 pm, Sat 7 am–12 pm (overtime rate)

Type: Permanent, Full‐time

The Role

  • Safely operate Class 1 HGVs to deliver timber, aggregates and building products to merchants and sites
  • Occasionally jump into a Class 2 vehicle for smaller drop-offs to business premises and households
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle checks, reporting any defects promptly
  • Secure flatbed loads in line with legal weight limits and safety standards
  • Keep accurate, timely delivery records and communicate proactively with base and customers
  • Uphold NWTT's high standards of customer care and company policies

What We Need from You

  • Minimum 2 years' Class 1 HGV driving experience
  • Valid CPC and Digi-tacho card
  • Clean driving record (any live offences to be disclosed at interview)
  • Strong customer-service skills – warm, friendly & professional in every interaction
  • Hiab (crane) qualification is a bonus, but not essential
  • Commitment to safety for yourself, your load and the public
