Job Description:

North West Surrey Integrated Care Services (NICS) is looking for motivated and compassionate Home Visiting Paramedics to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to work autonomously within a supportive GP-led environment, delivering high quality care to patients in their own homes.

You will play a key role in supporting GP practices, reducing unnecessary hospital admissions and improving outcomes for patients with acute illness, frailty, urgent care needs and long-term conditions.

About You:

We are looking for HCPC Registered Paramedics who have:

  • A minimum of 3 years post-NQP experience
  • Completion of at least 2 Level 7 postgraduate modules relevant to advanced assessment, clinical examination and/or clinical decision making
  • Strong autonomous clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • A passion for delivering patient-centred care in the community
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles

Experience in primary care, home visiting, urgent care, community services or care home medicine would be advantageous.

As a Home Visiting Paramedic, you will provide autonomous assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients in their own homes, working closely with GP practices across North West Surrey. You will be responsible for assessing patients presenting with acute illness, frailty, urgent care needs and exacerbations of long-term conditions, helping to deliver timely interventions and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions where appropriate.

The role involves undertaking home visits, formulating management plans, arranging appropriate investigations, providing patient education and working collaboratively with GPs, community services, social care teams and care homes to ensure patients receive coordinated, high-quality care.

You will work autonomously within your scope of practice whilst having access to clinical support from experienced GPs and senior clinicians when required. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain accurate clinical records, contribute to clinical governance activities and uphold the highest standards of patient safety, safeguarding and professional practice.

This role is aligned to Specialist Paramedic / Paramedic Practitioner level practice and is not an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) post.
