The College is seeking applications for a Kitchen Attendant/Till Operator to work term-time at our Strand Road Campus.The Kitchen Attendant/Till Operator will assist in the safe, hygienic and efficient operation of the hospitality facilities, and provide lecturers with practical help in the kitchen when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain kitchen/service/customer areas in accordance with College procedures
  • Carry out general kitchen and dining room duties including washing up and clearing away equipment
  • Clean all kitchens and restaurant surfaces, including floors, equipment, food and other storage areas
  • Assist with the maintenance of records as required
  • Empty and clean internal bins and remove rubbish to the designated collection point

Skills and Qualifications

  • Have at least a Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene or Food Preparation or give a commitment that you will undertake a Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene or Food Preparation within 6 months
  • Have one years relevant employment experience working in a catering environment e.g. Cafe, Coffee Shop or Kitchen, with duties including cleaning, cooking or till operation
  • Have employment experience of food preparation or cooking
