The Position: To Implement Council’s policies and procedures to deliver effective and efficient logistics support services, stores operations, stock inventory and acquisition of goods and services in line with Council’s Procurement Policy and the Local Government Regulation 2012. The role is responsible for managing stock, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are available to support operations. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and stakeholders.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Current Queensland ‘C’ class drivers licence (manual).
  • Current ‘HR’ class drivers licence would be desirable.
  • General Construction Industry Induction (White card).
  • Current High-risk licence to operate a Forklift.
  • Certificates of competency for other plant and machinery would be desirable.
  • Previous experience in Local Government, stores/purchasing/logistics environment would be desirable.
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Competent computer skills.
