Bring your energy to Aggreko as Engineering Lead based in North/Central Qld. As the Engineering Lead you'll be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of the Engineering function in Hybrid Renewable Energy projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves leading and coordinating construction engineering efforts while collaborating with a larger multidisciplinary engineering team, external stakeholders, and contractors.
What you’ll do as Engineering Lead:
- Oversee design implementation and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project delivery teams.
- Lead the construction engineering function for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, battery storage, and hybrid solutions.
- Define engineering construction methodologies and project engineering execution strategies.
- Manage the engineering schedules, budgets, and resources to achieve project milestones in collaboration with the project manager.
- Identify opportunities for improving engineering processes, cost efficiencies, and sustainability practices.
- Keep up to date with advancements in renewable energy engineering, construction methods and technologies.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineering teams.
You are:
- 10+ years of experience in industrial and utility engineering design and project commissioning, with at least 5 years in renewable energy projects.
- A passion for delivering projects that meet customer needs, drive Aggreko forward into the energy transition, and offer a compelling value proposition.
- An understanding of what’s needed for a project to succeed in the renewable market for a global organisation.
