North West London Primary Care Provider Collaborative (NWL PCPC) is a newly established Community Interest Company bringing together primary care provider organisations from across North West London to create a stronger, more influential voice for primary care within one of the country's largest and most complex health systems. Collectively representing providers serving a population of more than two million people, the Collaborative has been created to enable primary care to work at greater scale, shape system strategy and deliver services differently.

As Integrated Care Systems continue to evolve, the Collaborative will play an increasingly significant role in supporting neighbourhood working, hosting strategic functions and delivering services on behalf of the wider NHS. We are now seeking to appoint our inaugural independent Chair to help shape this ambitious organisation and establish it as an influential partner at the heart of the North West London health and care system.

Working alongside the inaugural Chief Executive, Board Directors and shareholder organisations, the Chair will provide strategic leadership to the Board and ensure the Collaborative develops as a well governed, ambitious and influential organisation. The successful candidate will help establish the organisation's strategic direction, oversee the development of its governance arrangements and foster an inclusive, collaborative Board culture where constructive challenge and collective accountability thrive.

Beyond the Boardroom, the Chair will act as an ambassador for the Collaborative, building trusted relationships with the Integrated Care Board, NHS organisations, local authorities and wider partners, while supporting the organisation as it assumes new responsibilities, develops new partnerships and strengthens its role in shaping the future of primary care across North West London.

We are seeking an experienced Chair or Board leader with an outstanding track record of leading effective governance within a complex organisation. Candidates will have experience of operating successfully across organisational boundaries, bringing together partners with differing priorities to achieve shared objectives, and will be comfortable leading through ambiguity, organisational change and transformation.

While experience of primary care is desirable, we welcome applications from individuals with highly transferable leadership experience gained across the NHS, wider public sector, commercial or other complex stakeholder environments. The successful candidate will understand the healthcare environment and be an inclusive and authentic leader with excellent judgement, political acuity and the ability to build trust, confidence and consensus. They will be motivated by improving public services and outcomes for local communities and committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and the Nolan Principles of Public Life.

This is a rare opportunity to become the founding independent Chair of one of the most significant new organisations in primary care. The successful candidate will help build an organisation from the outset, shaping its culture, governance and long-term direction while creating a stronger platform for primary care providers to work together, influence system strategy and improve outcomes for local communities. We are particularly keen to attract applications from individuals whose backgrounds, experiences and perspectives reflect the diverse communities of North West London and who share our ambition to transform the future of primary care.
