Housing Officer – 2 x Posts

1x permanent role 1x temporary contract until December 2027

Are you passionate about working with people? We have exciting roles within our Housing Management team working with our tenants and their families across North West Leicestershire. We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communications skills to join our busy team as a generic Housing Officer who will be responsible for a ‘patch’ of properties within the district, dealing with all aspects of Tenancy and Estate Management.

The responsibilities include managing rent arrears, allocations, low level anti-social behaviour and estate issues within the allocated ‘patch’. The role includes promoting resident involvement and empowerment which will involve attending some Tenants’ Association meetings in the evenings as and when required.

The successful candidates will be committed to delivering high quality customer service with a smile on their face and have experience working in Housing Management for a social housing provider. Candidates must be both able to work effectively both independently and as part of team. The role will be a mixture of home working and working from the council offices in Coalville.

  • 25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £32,597- £36,363
  • Agile working scheme with a combination of home and office working
  • 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 38 days after 5 years (pro rata to length of contract)
