North West Leicestershire District Council is launching a new weekly Food Waste Collection Service, and we're looking for committed, hardworking people to join the team. This is your chance to play a key role in reducing waste, increasing recycling and helping create a cleaner, greener North West Leicestershire.
What You'll Need:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Current Full UK C1 driving licence
- Good health and safety awareness
What you'll bring: the ability to effectively supervise a small crew of waste collectors to work to the best of their abilities and to the highest standards of safety and customer services. You must be able to work flexibly, be adaptable to work across different types of waste collection and support other duties and responsibilities as and when required to help the Waste Service meet operational demands and service needs. You must have great communication and team working skills.
37 hrs per week with a starting annual salary of £29,189 (pay award pending).
Four day working week of 9¼ hours per day, usually worked Tuesday-Friday.
6.5 weeks holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 7.5 weeks after 5 years.
