The Council’s Planning and Development Team are looking for someone to join their team as a full-time Planning Technician. The role is responsible for the validation and determination of discharge of planning condition applications, as well as dealing with and the making of Tree Preservation Orders and Public Footpath Diversion Orders.

Ideally we are looking for a candidate who has some knowledge of Planning and Development procedures to help with the validation of minor applications and the completion of administrative tasks associated with planning appeals, together with planning history searches and condition compliance requests. The successful applicant needs to be a great communicator (both verbally and in writing) who can respond to enquiries from members of the public, planning agents, stakeholders as well as colleagues in the Planning Team and wider Council.

The job involves a mix of office based and home working. 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £28,598 - £32,061. Agile working scheme with a combination of home and office working. 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 38 days after 5 years (full time equivalent).
