The Council is investing in technology and an extensive programme of modernisation to drive operational efficiency and further improve the customer service provided to customers. We are looking for someone to join our busy team and provide IT support to approx. 500 users at the Council.
The job includes being required to provide first / second line support and technical assistance dealing with users' software and hardware issues and the building of laptops, smartphones and peripheral devices. We are predominantly a Microsoft house and use the full Office 365 stack and a range of bespoke applications, so must have a good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Applications, desktop and server technologies, plus experience and understanding of mobile devices, network and security.
36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £28,598 - £32,061 per annum. Agile working scheme with a combination of home and office working. This role requires office-based working on a rota basis.
34 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 38 days after 5 years (full time equivalent). Attractive Local Government Pension Scheme with at least 22.7% employer’s contribution.
