The Home Improvement Team is seeking a Team Leader to oversee the delivery of our planned and cyclical home improvement programmes, ensuring they meet the standards set by the Regulator of Social Housing. The council manages approximately 4,100 tenanted homes across the district. The successful candidate will hold an HNC in Construction or equivalent qualification, or proven experience in this type of role. You will need strong contract management capabilities and recent experience in a comparable role. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, along with proven experience in leading and supporting a busy team and developing and delivering effective capital work programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of planned and cyclical home improvement programmes to required standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Regulator of Social Housing standards.
  • Lead and support a busy team; develop and deliver capital work programmes.
  • Apply strong contract management capabilities.

Qualifications

  • HNC in Construction or equivalent qualification, or proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong contract management capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience leading teams.

  • 36.25 hours per week; salary from £41,771 (pay band £41,771 to £46,142).
