This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated legal professional to be at the heart of public service while looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Following a significant increase in demand for support from qualified legal practitioners over the last 2 years across the authority, there has been a review of the service and you will be joining a newly developed Adults Social Care legal team and working alongside our Child Care & Education Team.
You will provide expert legal advice and representation on a broad range of adult social care matters, including Court of Protection and safeguarding as well as undertaking advocacy work, in order to protect and further the Council’s objectives.
We are looking for a highly organised person that possesses excellent IT and communication skills, with an ability to work flexibly as part of the team and also individually.
You will have:
- Excellent communication, organisational, and negotiation skills
- The ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and supporting families in achieving stability and independence.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle (Where appropriate, reasonable adjustments will be made in accordance with the provisions of the Equality Act)
