Our Team

The Legal team at Halton Borough Council plays a vital role in supporting the Authority by delivering high-quality, timely, and business-focused legal and procedural advice. In this role, you will work closely with our Social Care and Education teams, providing expert legal services as directed by the appropriate Group Solicitor. The team is committed to delivering advice in a cost-effective and efficient manner, ensuring best value for the Council while helping to meet the complex and evolving needs of the community.

Your Contributions

Do you have extensive experience of Childcare Law and practice, including advocacy experience? Ideally, you will have experience of working in local government or in private practice and will be a qualified lawyer. We are looking for a highly organised person that possesses excellent IT and communication skills, with an ability to work flexibly as part of the team and also individually. You will have excellent communication, organisational, and negotiation skills and be able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. You should also demonstrate a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and supporting families in achieving stability and independence.
