Motor Vehicle Technician – Fleet Operations

Location: Bury

Hours: 37.5 hours per week average

Shift allowance: Approx. 12.5% uplift on top of basic salary for rotating shift pattern covering 365 days per year.

Basic Salary: £32,073 – £39,043 per annum (AFC Band 5)

We are looking for an experienced vehicle technician to ensure all Trust vehicles—Petrol, Diesel, Hybrid, and EV—including specialist ambulance equipment—are serviced, repaired and maintained to the Trust and DVSA’s exacting standards.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain Trust vehicles (Petrol/Diesel/Hybrid/EV) and specialist ambulance equipment to Trust and DVSA standards.
• Work within a modern workshop environment to maximise vehicle throughput, reduce workshop delays and minimise supply‑chain frustrations.
• Support progression of skill sets through training and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience.
• NVQ or C&G Level 3 qualifications.
• A UK driving licence with full Category C1 entitlement.
