Job Title: SORT Manager (Acute Trust Support)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic candidate to take up the post of Special Operations Response Team (SORT) Manager (Acute Trust Support) .

The role will primarily involve developing, designing, and delivering an annual programme of training and education for NHS hospital trainers within the NWAS NHS Trust geographical area.

The Train the Trainer programme will be related specifically to the Hospital decontamination capability and will involve a blend of cognitive and practical training, focusing on chemical PPE, decontamination techniques, and procedures.

This training programme will be delivered at various hospital sites around the North West region, which will be arranged and coordinated by the post holder in partnership with the hospital Emergency Planning Resilience and Response (EPRR) Managers.

The post holder will also be required to carry out annual audits on the hospital Trusts\’ decontamination capability and produce audit reports for the hospital Trusts, the Integrated Care Bureau (ICB) Leads covering that area, and NHS England EPRR Leads.

Additionally, the postholder will support hospital Trusts in developing their decontamination response plans, training, and exercise programmes, providing guidance and support in this area of work.
