North Weald Vets are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive, close-knit practice where your nursing skills will be fully utilised and valued.

Practice Highlights

  • Join a team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 2 Receptionists
  • Well-equipped practice with modern facilities, including a new dental X-ray machine
  • Wide range of procedures performed in-house

How You'll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

  • 40-hour week, Monday to Friday
  • 8-hour shifts, either 8 am - 4 pm or 11 am - 7 pm
  • 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 8 am - 1 pm

General Responsibilities

This is a varied and hands-on nursing role where you’ll rotate across different areas of the practice, including:

  • Theatre and surgical support
  • Inpatient care
  • Nurse consultations
  • Diagnostic procedures
  • Client communication and reception support

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
