Position: Store Keeper (Part Time)
Location: Central Stores Office, Bridgend, South Wales Police
Hours: 18.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, with flexible working arrangements over time.
About the role
The Store Keeper will provide a comprehensive store‑keeping service, manage and account stock, and arrange the distribution of items across the South Wales Police force area. The role supports the Central Stores team within Estates and ensures efficient service for officers and uniformed staff throughout the force.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive store‑keeping service.
- Manage and account stock.
- Arrange distribution of items throughout the force area.
- Support the Stores Supervisor in meeting diverse needs.
- Operate a small forklift truck and other mechanical stock handling equipment after training.
Qualifications and skills
- Proficient in Microsoft applications and computer literate.
- Previous administrative experience.
- Ability to work efficiently to a high standard.
- Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to undergo vetting to the required level (RV).
