Fixed - this role can only be performed from a specific location.

Part/Full Time: Full Time (37 hours)

Type of Contract: Temporary (Contract End Date: 1 April 2027)

Role Purpose: To provide a forensic submission provision for the Force to include the authorisation, monitoring and management of the forensic submission process to ensure the viability, cost effectiveness and evidential requirements for the organisation in line with policy. This includes advising police officers on forensic submissions procedures, liaising with forensic scientists and other external agencies and dealing with queries in respect of the appropriate packaging and documentation for submissions. To ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and proactively participate in the continuous improvement model.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • NVQ3 or equivalent qualification and/or proven relevant experience in administration work.
  • Must be computer literate and have experience using Microsoft applications.
  • Possess sound judgement skills with the confidence to make justifiable decisions.
  • Demonstrate a professional and structured approach to problem solving.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Able to work under pressure in stressful situations, to organise and prioritise workloads and achieve objectives within set timelines.
  • Ability and experience in the interpretation and management of data and ability to input high volumes of data accurately and in a timely manner.
  • The role will require experience in handling sensitive and confidential material.
  • Must provide Biometric elimination samples for inclusion on the Police Elimination Databases.
