Role Purpose

To assist in the prompt and efficient investigation of serious and complex crime. The core purpose is to obtain evidence in a timely and appropriate manner, assist with interviewing victims, witnesses and suspects, and provide support to other investigations as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • HNC or equivalent level of qualification, or an equivalent amount of proven relevant experience.
  • Intermediate IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (commensurate with the grade and requirements of the post) with managers, members of staff, and members of the public.
  • Motivated and disciplined style working on own initiative to complete the task and as part of a team to achieve overall objectives.

Applicants are required to discuss this temporary secondment with their line manager and obtain agreement that their permanent position can be held for them during the secondment period. Applications cannot be considered without this agreement.
