This role is within the Joint Digital Services Division (DSD) of South Wales Police, based at the South Wales Police Headquarters in Bridgend. It supports the Citizen First Programme, a Salesforce-based digital platform used across South Wales Police and Gwent Police.
About the team/Department
- The Joint Digital Services Division delivers a joint digital strategy across the forces to develop and implement new ways of working.
- This position sits within the Business Systems branch, supporting projects and other branches.
- The office is based in Bridgend but offers a hybrid working policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on the Business Support Team for both forces in a controlled project environment, balancing competing business demands and ensuring efficient system operation.
- Support the implementation of the Citizen First Programme, helping deliver a modern digital platform for victims, the public, and staff.
- Gain hands‑on experience with Salesforce technology, developing in‑house capability and reducing reliance on external suppliers.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience gathering requirements and documenting specifications for development work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially M365 and Excel, and experience with various information management systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of project management processes (e.g., Agile).
- Strong time‑management skills to organise multiple pieces of work concurrently.
- Willingness to undergo MV/SC vetting.
