About the team/Department you will be joining: We are a small team who provide procurement services for both South Wales and Gwent Police. We are based in Bridgend and offer a mix of home and office working. We work flexibly, mostly office hours and can consider family friendly options.

About the role and your key responsibilities: This role will require you to lead and manage complex and strategic collaborative and local procurement projects for South Wales and Gwent Police. You will lead on contract management following award of contracts and provide professional procurement advice, ensuring compliance and value for money throughout the life of the contract.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

  • You will have extensive experience in drafting, developing specifications, analysing and awarding a variety of tenderers/contracts for goods and services.
  • You will have experience of complex contract management to ensure continuous compliance, improvement and value for money.
  • You will have experience of providing professional advice and guidance to stakeholders at all levels.

The successful candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting. Please note, if you are an internal candidate and subject to an ongoing PSD investigation, your appointment or placement in the role may be delayed pending an outcome. Whether the role is held open will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
