We’re looking for a Senior Community Cleaner to lead by example, supporting a small team of cleaners while working hands‑on across our housing schemes, offices and communal areas. You’ll help ensure residents feel proud of where they live and supported in their day‑to‑day environment. This is a practical role with real impact, ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the community, supporting others and taking pride in high standards.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supervising and supporting a team of Community Cleaners
- Organising work schedules and arranging cover where needed
- Carrying out regular cleaning checks to maintain consistent standards
- Training staff in safe use of cleaning equipment and materials
- Delivering cleaning services yourself, including:
- Communal stairs, hallways and landings
- Shared facilities and bin areas
- Internal windows and door glass
- Removal of rubbish and dog fouling
You’ll need:
- Previous supervisory experience
- A good understanding of health and safety, including COSHH
- Clear communication skills and a friendly, respectful manner
- Basic IT skills (email, records)
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to carry out physical work, including manual handling
- Willingness to complete a Basic DBS check
- A full UK driving licence
