Sport and leisure currently operate 5 state of the art indoor leisure sites across the borough, the facilities include four swimming pools, multi-functional fitness suites, sports halls, studios, and outdoor pitches. The service attracts over one million visitors a year. Sport and Leisure service are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate swimming teacher to teach swimming to all age ranges, in group sessions and at some times on a one-to-one basis.
Location & Role
You will be based at Hadrian Leisure Centre, Wallsend to deliver North Tyneside Council's school swimming provision and our Learn to Swim programme, in accordance with the Swim England standards and industry best practice. Your duties will also include promoting a positive image of North Tyneside Council, encouraging participation, maintaining registers and attending meetings where required.

Contract Details
The position is a static term time only 195-day contract, working 17 hours per week. You would be required to work the following hours each week: (an unpaid 30 minute break is included in the hours detailed below) Wednesday and Thursday 10.15 to 7.15pm.
Salary
The salary is Grade 6, £28,598 - £30,024 pro rata for the 17 hours you will be working during term time. A term time contract is only 195 days.
Other
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975, and an Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
