The role is part of the School's HR team, supporting schools in North Tyneside, who access the service through a paid for Service Level Agreement. The School's HR team provide an efficient dedicated first line support primarily to school leadership team members and where applicable to the wider governing body and management board members, on a wide range of HR policy and practice matters.

The role would require the postholder to be able to travel to schools across North Tyneside. The role is full time (37 hours), Monday to Friday, however, there may be the occasional requirement to work outside of normal office hours to support school meetings.

Required Experience and Qualifications

The People Team are looking for a motivated and experienced HR professional to join the team as a People Business Partner. You will have a detailed knowledge of employment law, a demonstrable understanding of employee relations' matters, experience working within a unionised environment and be able to build good working relationships with clients (schools) quickly to ensure an effective and valued service is delivered. In addition, you will be CIPD qualified or hold an equivalent degree with post qualification experience.
