The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
The postholder will work within Adult Mental Health Services at North Tyneside Council, as part of our aim to offer early intervention and short term reablement support within our Mental Health Social Work offer.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with partner agencies, including CNTW, North Tyneside Recovery Partnership (NTRP), Police, Housing, Probation; respond to requests for help and support from individual people, families, or other partner agencies.
- Support the response from Adult Social Care in relation to individuals who are open to secondary mental health and/or addictions services.
- Support people to ensure we offer a proportionate and effective response to requests for help and support; promote people’s independence and support their recovery.
- Promote a person’s independence, empowering them to do as much for themselves as possible, for as long as possible.
- Ensure any interventions are necessary and proportionate, whilst upholding their rights.
- Work in a person-centred way to create change and work with people’s strengths and promote autonomy.
- Be enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to providing excellent support. We are particularly keen to hear from a person who has skills, knowledge and experience of working with people whose lives are impacted by alcohol and substance use to promote their recovery.
- You will be supported by Social Workers, Advanced Practitioners, Assistant Team Manager and Team Manager.
