Overview
FINANCE ASSISTANT (PART TIME) — GRADE 4: £28,598 – £31,022 (PRO RATA £19,323 – £20,961) PER ANNUM. PERMANENT – 25 HOURS PER WEEK. CLOSING DATE – 26 OCTOBER 2025. INTERVIEW DATE – WEEK COMMENCING 10 NOVEMBER 2025 (PROVISIONAL).

We are the Finance Team of a dynamic company that works on behalf of Sunderland City Council to deliver children’s services including social care, early help and education. Our goal in everything is Put the Child First.
An excellent opportunity has arisen to forge a career within the Finance Service of the Company which will offer the right candidate the opportunity to gain valuable experience within a busy Finance Team.
Responsibilities
- The postholder will be a key member of the Team and will proactively provide support on all aspects of finance and will assist the Team Manager, Finance Business Partners and budget holders within the Company with budget preparation and management.
- The postholder will also help support the timely completion of final accounts, government returns, grant claims, banking arrangements and reconciliation of financial information.
