The Financial Management Service
The Financial Management Service within the Resources and Digital group operates at the core of the Council\’s financial operations. The Service is focused on the optimisation and safeguarding of financial and other resources in a dynamic and challenging environment.

This senior role will see you lead and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, drive the delivery of core financial processes, and play a key part in ensuring the Council meets its financial and statutory obligations – while taking your career to the next level.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen to join our motivated and enthusiastic Finance team as a Corporate Finance Manager within Group Finance. You will work closely with the other Corporate Finance Managers to deliver a high-quality financial management service across a range of Council services. This role will lead on the coordination of core financial processes, including revenue monitoring, financial appraisal and business partnering, ensuring that accurate and timely information is available to support effective decision-making.
You will manage a team of Business Partners, providing expert advice and supporting the Council\’s strategic financial management and planning across a range of services. The role of a Corporate Finance Manager requires individuals to be flexible to enable them to provide support across a varying number of services and directorates.
As a fully qualified CCAB Accountant you\’ll bring extensive experience of working in a public sector environment and providing professional financial advice to a range of stakeholders. You will also have a proven track record of leading and managing teams effectively, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills are essential.
Salary and Benefits
Competitive salary: £54,495 – £57,937 pa plus 15% Recruitment and Retention Allowance (reviewed yearly)
