An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard-working individuals to join our Parks Team as a Casual Catering Assistant for North Tyneside Council.

Working in North Tyneside Council's Parks Catering Team, you will work in the cafes, including The Rising Sun Country Park Café, Northumberland Park Café, and Wallsend Park Café, contributing to the day-to-day operations of the cafés. The posts are casual zero-hour contracts which could include evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the business.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer care skills and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality customer-focused services, providing clean, safe and tidy places to an agreed standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a range of duties associated with catering, including food preparation, cooking and service of food and beverages to customers.
  • Use of cash till and perform cleaning duties within the kitchen and café.
