Working under the supervision of qualified Educational Psychologists, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality psychological services to schools, settings, children, young people and families across North Tyneside. In line with the SEND reforms you will play an important role in supporting early intervention and preventative work, contributing to assessment activities, delivering interventions, supporting training programmes, and assisting with research and evaluation projects.,

  • Supporting Educational Psychologists in schools and educational settings.
  • Contributing to information gathering, observation, consultation and assessment activities.
  • Supporting the implementation and evaluation of interventions designed to overcome barriers to learning and inclusion.
  • Assisting in the delivery of training and professional development for school staff and parents/carers.
  • Supporting research projects, literature reviews, data collection and analysis.
  • Gathering and analysing feedback and outcome measures relating to service impact.

  • Participating in service development activities, meetings and continuing professional development.
  • Working collaboratively with children, young people, families and professionals from a range of disciplines., Opportunities to develop psychological practice skills across a range of settings.

  • Valuable preparation for professional doctoral training in Educational Psychology. This is an exciting opportunity for a psychology graduate who is planning to pursue professional training as an Educational Psychologist and is looking to develop their skills and experience within a supportive and innovative service., We are looking for someone who is motivated, reflective and committed to improving outcomes for children and young people. The successful candidate will have Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR) with the British Psychological Society and two years relevant postgraduate experience. They will have excellent communcation skills and a commitment to imrpoving outcomes for our children, young people and families.
