NTGP has a fantastic opportunity for a salaried GP to join our multi-disciplinary team. The position will require GP sessions from both locations (on different days). We are flexible with sessions available and looking for a GP to cover 5-6 sessions per week. The days can be negotiable to suit you, the team & patients. You will be consulting with patients using face to face, telephone & via e-consultation methods. Our practice provides a total triage service for all our patients, this will include duty doctor days and home visits on a rota basis. You will be responsible for the provision of medical services to our patient population managing a caseload dealing with a wide range of health needs. You will be supporting & supported by the wide range of clinical and non-clinical team within the practice.
Main duties of the job:
- To act at all times in accordance with the precepts of the GMC's Good Medical Practice.
- To assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- To screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- To provide counselling and health education as appropriate.
- To record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
- To prescribe, in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary, all local and national guidelines, appropriately for the presenting condition.
- To provide support for other clinicians such as nurses, nurse practitioners and health care assistants including the signing of prescriptions where appropriate.
