The predicted salary is between 44000 - 68000 £ per year.

This is an opportunity to work as a Clinical/Neuro Psychologist at Stockwood Lodge, a service for neurological rehabilitation and complex care, where you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working, and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and design and deliver training.

Main duties of the job include:

  • Participating in the assessment of referrals and providing initial assessment for service users referred to the service.
  • Undertaking high-quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions.
  • Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods for assessments.
  • Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients’ mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice.
  • Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
  • Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines, and Company Policies and Procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BPS recognised psychology degrees
  • HCPC registration
  • Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
  • Understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
  • Experience of applying psychological knowledge to a clinical/neuro setting
  • Experience working with clients with cognitive deficits
  • Previous experience of conducting research and project working

Where you will be working:

Locations: 32 Studley Road, 1 & 10 Cutenhoe Road, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU3 1BB. You will be working at three care homes (Ellenbrook House, Stockwood House, and Talbot House) in Luton within close proximity to each other.
