Bradley\’s Practice – We have Part Time or full time clinical administrator roles based at both of our sites, Mold and Buckley . Hours of work can vary from 07.45am – 18.30pm, Monday to Friday.
The role of a clinical administratoris to be the welcoming face of the practice, dealing with telephone calls and visitors and an effective manner. You would also be working on navigation and booking patients into appointments. The work is varied and interesting and can be challenging.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a self motivatedindividual who is capable of working on their own initiative and also who canwork well with others. You would need to be well organised and be patientfocused. Excellent IT skills are an advantage as most of the work involvesusing PC\’s on a daily basis. Would be an advantage if you have previousclinical experience.
About us
At Bradley\’s Practice we have 9 GP partners, Nurses, Advanced NursePractitioners and Health Care Assistants – these clinical staff are supportedby reception and admin staff, who in turn are all managed by Operations Managers. We are a dual sited practice with offices in both Buckley and Moldwhich cover a wide practice area, with approx 17600 patients.
Job responsibilities
Clinical Administrator
Operating Telecommunications System
Receive andmake Practice telephone calls, e.g. dealing with patient queries.
Maintaining telephonedirectory of necessary telephone contacts.
Receivingand recording messages for Doctors and other members of staff, ensuring thatany information about unresolved matters is passed on.
Operation Of Computer Clinic System
Adding andcancelling appointments on computerised system.
Identifyingpatient details, collate information and pass to navigation team.
Reportingfaults with hardware or software relating to Emis medical system tosupervisor.
Inputtingrequests for Home Visits onto the computer.
UsingElectronic Mail to sent and receive messages, internally and externally.
Receive and Assist Patients
Deal withpatient enquires including registering patients, explaining surgery proceduresand giving general advice relating to non-clinical issues.
Identify andpass on patient prescription sheets.
Collect andrecord dispensing/private fees and provide receipts where applicable.
Informpatients of complaints procedures and log any informal complaints.
Orderambulance transport for patient when required.
Navigation
Using our triage system to book appropriate appointments for patients
Cancelling appointments when requested
Working through emails and tasks and signposting patients for best care
Stock Control
Ensuring anadequate supply of stationary, documents, bottles etc.
Maintain Reception Area
Making sureany displays/patient notices are kept tidy and up to date.
Making surethe reception desk is attended at all times.
Security of Premises
Opening andclosing premises when necessary.
ANY OTHER DUTIESAPPROPRIATE TO THE POST AS DESIGNATED BY THE PARTNERS.
