An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Administrator/Support Medical Secretary Administrator to work in the Moving Well Services, based at the Minerva Centre, Lowthorpe Road, Deepdale, Preston PR1 6SB.

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive individual. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a challenging and demanding role. You must have proven knowledge of Administration procedures and have previous experience of audio typing.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about the challenges of working in a busy and constantly changing environment, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and to achieve strict deadlines. You will be a highly motivated individual and will have excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide a comprehensive full range of duties to the service. The post holder will coordinate their activities with other members of the administration team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The post holder is required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the service, providing cover to other teams as directed by the Admin Team Lead in liaison with the Deputy Admin Lead to ensure continuity of a quality service. There will be an expectation from the post holder to cover Blood Monitoring admin at another NHS site.

In return you will be part of a supportive team who will develop your skills, knowledge and experience.

A standard DBS disclosure will be required.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • 5 GCEs grade C or above including Mathematics and English Language or equivalent
  • ECDL or equivalent
  • NVQ 3 / RSA Grade 3 or equivalent

Knowledge

  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and awareness of working with people making health related changes
  • Knowledge of effective admin systems and ability to apply to work

Experience

  • Data inputting and checking
  • Working in a customer services environment, dealing with individuals face to face and by telephone
  • Administration of meetings – organising, minute taking
