We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, I.T. literate craftsperson with excellent Electrical and Engineering knowledge to join the estates team. The post holder will be responsible for fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment. The day-to-day duties will include planned preventative maintenance, general repairs, Energy Centre checks, and responding to high priority emergencies to ensure continuity of service in a vibrant busy hospital.
NTH Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary company of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, established in April 2018 to provide estates, facilities, and support services.
Key Responsibilities:- To install, maintain, service, and repair the full range of estates specialist equipment, plant, and infrastructure.
- Provide technical advice to other estates maintenance staff and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- Act in the role of Competent Person, as defined by Health Technical Memorandum, for the Electrical Distribution (LV) system.
- Undertake condition surveys and evaluate inspection reports.
- Infection Control: Ensure the risk of infection to yourself, colleagues, patients, relatives, and visitors is minimised by adhering to Trust policies and guidance on infection prevention and control.
- Attend Trust Induction Programme(s) and statutory education programmes in infection prevention and control.
- Include infection prevention and control as an integral part of your continuous personal/professional development.
- Take personal responsibility to help ensure that effective prevention and control of healthcare-acquired infections is embedded into everyday practice.
