Overview
To provide specialist advice, training and specialised technical support (including statistical analysis) to medical, nursing and allied health professionals. To facilitate and co-ordinate clinical audit activity across the Trust, as allocated by the Clinical Effectiveness Manager, providing specialist advice and support with development of the Clinical Audit Forward Programmes. To facilitate and support implementation and clinical audit of NICE Guidance and National Clinical Audits. To work in conjunction with Care Groups, Clinical Staff and the Trust\\\βs Patient Quality Directorate to promote implementation and audit of Evidence Based Practice as part of the Clinical Effectiveness agenda.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and numerate individual to join the busy Clinical Effectiveness Unit in order to support the co-ordination of clinical effectiveness activity across the organisation.
Responsibilities

- Provide specialist advice and support with development of Clinical Audit Forward Programmes.
- Facilitate and support implementation and clinical audit of NICE Guidance and National Clinical Audits.
- Promote implementation and audit of Evidence Based Practice as part of the Clinical Effectiveness agenda.
Requirements / Qualifications
- The candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be enthusiastic, show initiative and be able to work independently but at the same time be a good team player.
- Significant experience of using spreadsheets and databases for data collection, analysis and reporting with proven ability to manage projects.
- Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment with knowledge of medical terminology and clinical audit would be beneficial but not essential.
- The post will involve travel between hospital sites as part of normal delivery of the role.
