The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 Β£ per year.

We are looking for a friendly individual with a positive approach, to work as part of the team in the Breast Unit. Suitably qualified applicants are invited to apply for the post of Clerical Assistant, joining a dedicated team of staff providing administrative support to the Department. The Breast Screening Service invites approximately 50,000 clients per year for well woman breast screening and also provides a Breast Symptomatic Service. This post holder will be a valuable member of the Team and will often be the first point of contact in representing the Service/Department.

A flexible approach to work within the core hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm. The post holder will join a team of friendly staff motivated to provide an efficient administration service to patients attending the department and will include but not limited to:

  • Provision of an effective and efficient administration office, dealing with queries and telephone calls in a professional manner.
  • Assist with data entry using appropriate IT systems. Good attention to detail and accuracy is a requirement of the role.
  • Collect notes from Health Records.
  • Provide cover at reception facilitating logging of attendees and booking appointments.
  • Dealing with queries from service users including GP, patients and other external departments.
  • General office duties as required.
