IMPORTANT - This is not a traditional promoter role — we are building a hosted entertainment experience rather than standalone club nights. Creative imaginative ideas are expected and welcomed.

North Street Venues is an independent two-floor nightlife venue in Wolverhampton city centre. We are launching a brand-new weekly interactive party concept — combining music, games, hosted entertainment and social experiences designed to bring people together in a fun, high-energy environment. This is not a traditional club night model. We are building a consistent entertainment brand focused on interactive experiences, community, and memorable nights out.

We are now looking for a driven and creative Nightlife Events & Creative Coordinator to help grow and operate this new format.

The Role

This role sits between promoter, creative producer and event coordinator. You will help plan, promote and execute weekly interactive events — working closely with management, hosts and DJs to ensure each weekend is engaging, well marketed and consistently busy. You will play a key role in shaping how the events look, feel and grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Promotion & Audience Growth
    • Build and manage weekly guestlists
    • Grow attendance through local networking and outreach
    • Develop relationships with local communities, groups and promoters
    • Coordinate birthday bookings and group reservations
    • Help create a loyal returning audience
  • Creative Event Coordination
    • Assist in planning weekly interactive event formats including:
    • music quiz nights
    • interactive party games
    • bingo-style entertainment
    • karaoke or hosted experiences
    • Work with hosts/DJs to organise running orders and event flow
    • Help coordinate show scripting and weekly themes
    • Ensure events remain fresh while maintaining consistency
  • Social Media & Content Coordination
    • Plan weekly content calendars alongside management
    • Coordinate scripting and filming ideas for social media
    • Capture or organise event footage during nights
    • Manage Instagram stories during events
    • Help produce engaging short-form content (Reels/TikTok)
    • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across promotions
  • Event Night Operations
    • Be present during key events (primarily Fridays/Saturdays)
    • Support host and DJ coordination
    • Help manage guestlists and customer experience
    • Monitor crowd energy and engagement
    • Act as the link between management, performers and guests

Who This Role Is Perfect For

  • Someone who loves nightlife but also enjoys organising and creating experiences
  • Understands social media culture and audience psychology
  • Is confident speaking to people and building relationships
  • Has creative ideas and enjoys making events feel unique
  • Wants to grow into an Event Manager or Creative Producer role

Skills & Experience (Preferred but Not Essential)

  • Event promotion or nightlife experience
  • Social media content planning
  • Hospitality or entertainment background
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Confident communicator
  • Creative mindset

Personality and initiative matter more than formal experience.

Hours

Part-time (15–20 hours per week) Flexible daytime planning hours Weekend evening availability essential

Pay & Progression

Competitive base pay Performance bonuses linked to attendance growth Opportunity to grow into senior events or venue management role

Why Join Us

  • Help build a brand-new entertainment concept from the ground up
  • Creative input encouraged — your ideas matter
  • Work within an independent venue with real autonomy
  • Long-term growth opportunities

Application question(s):

  • In your own words, what makes an event successful beyond just music or DJs?
  • This role focuses on interactive entertainment (games, hosted experiences, social energy). Why does this type of event appeal to you?
  • What do you think is currently missing from nightlife in smaller UK cities like Wolverhampton?
  • If you were asked to design a fun interactive Friday night for 120 people, what would your idea be?
  • Give one example of an event, brand or nightlife concept you think works really well and explain why.
  • What type of social media content do you think makes people decide to go out rather than stay at home?
  • Are you comfortable appearing in or helping create social media content (Instagram stories, reels, behind-the-scenes videos)?
  • Weekend availability is essential. Are you available to work Friday and Saturday evenings consistently?
