We are looking to recruit a Part time Prescription Clerk to join our friendly Practice team in Chadwell Heath and Romford. Experience in a GP surgery or pharmacy is compulsory. North Street Medical Care is a high achieving surgery with over 21,500 patients over two sites; North Street Practice and at the Chadwell Heath Health Centre in Ashton Gardens. The candidate will be working mainly at the Chadwell Heath Health Centre but may be required to work at both sites as requested.
The Prescription Clerk we are looking for must have good communication skills, attention to detail, a can-do attitude and is able to deal with both patients and surgery staff face to face and over the telephone in a professional manner. The role is for 12 hours per week working Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 am - 2 pm daily. You may occasionally be required to work on a Saturday or Bank Holiday, but with prior mutual agreement.
Responsibilities
- The candidate will be responsible for undertaking a range of duties which include providing general assistance to the Practice Team and reception / telephones.
- Act as a focal point of communication between the GPs, Managers, Receptionists, Patients and local Pharmacies as well as other members of the Primary Health Care Team, to ensure patients prescriptions are produced within the current protocols of the surgery.
Our clinical team includes GPs, Nurse practitioner, Nurses, HCAs, Pharmacists and Paramedics. We operate over two sites, which is at North Street and Ashton Gardens. We are a training practice.
