This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team under the direction of a Speech and Language Therapist, delivering therapy, supporting school staff and changing the lives of young people. You will work 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum and support children to achieve the outcomes agreed by a Speech and Language Therapist in conjunction with the school and family through a range of activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Working individually with a child or young person within the school.
- Modelling strategies to class teachers and teaching assistants.
- Working with small groups.
- Making resources to support students' speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
- Working with children and young people in a SEMH setting to develop their speech, language and communication skills.
- Flexibly adapting your approach and communication style to deliver functional, client‑centred therapy intervention.
- Being part of an exciting and innovative all‑through learning community, a dedicated team of staff, a caring and inclusive ethos, and a supportive school environment with trustees and parents who hold high expectations.
