The Company currently has vacancies for Daughter Craft Coxswains in its ERRV/MRV fleet. Candidates must hold a valid OPITO DC Coxswain certificate.
Daughter Craft Coxswain is responsible for the following:
- Taking charge and command of Daughter Craft and its crew upon launch, subject to Masters orders.
- General upkeep and local repairs of Fast Rescue Craft / Daughter Craft.
- Run up FRC engines to ensure they operate.
- Reporting all FRC / DC defects to the Chief Engineer and Master, and liaising with both regarding general upkeep of craft.
- General on deck daytime duties, as directed by the Chief Mate.
- Form part of the vessel fire fighting team.
- Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance.
