The Company currently has a vacancy for a Chief Officer in its ERRV/MRV fleet. Start date 12th January 2026. Permanent contract. Location: North Sea.

Suitable candidates require to have worked in a Chief Officer capacity previously and should hold a UK CoC / UK FSE although we would consider non UK candidates who are willing to apply for the UK equivalent certificate of competency (UK FSE).

Chief Officer is responsible for the following:

  • Deputising for Master, in the event of his absence on board.
  • The safe navigation of the vessel, during his hours of watch.
  • The safe and efficient running of the Deck Department.
  • Designating duties to additional crew members.
  • Maintenance of all marine safety equipment.
  • Coordinating on board firefighting response, and overseeing all internal firefighting activities on board, as and when required.
  • Carrying out vessel inspections according to Safety Inspection Programme, and reporting any/all recorded defects to Chief Engineer.
  • Investigating any accidents, incidents or near misses and providing an accurate and detailed report to Master (for onward transmissions to the QHSE Department).
  • The Chief Mate shall act as Shipboard Safety Officer.
  • Actively promoting and progressing the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
  • Actively promoting inter-departmental communications.
