TheCompany currently have vacancies for Deckhandsin its ERRV/MRV fleet.

Immediate start date. Permanent contract. 4 weeks on/off rotationSuitable candidates require to have a minimum of 6 months relevant sea time and have worked as a Deckhand previously, preferably on an ERRV vessel.

Deckhand is responsible for the following:

The execution of duties as designated by watch keeping rota. Deckhand is responsible to the Watch Keeping Officer on Watch for any / all duties.

  • Responsible to the Coxswain when engaged as a Rescue Craft crew member.
  • Deckhands should be familiar with the use of Breathing Apparatus and possess basic Fire Fighting Skills.
  • Forming part of both the vessel\’s on board Emergency Response team, and Rescue Craft\’s whereby applicable.
  • Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance
  • Actively promoting and progressing the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
  • Actively promoting inter-departmental communications.

Required certificates:

  • STCW Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1)
  • STCW Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (A-VI/1-2)
  • STCW Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)
  • STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (A-VI/1-4)
  • Seafarers medical.

Preferred certificates

  • OPITO ITSO (or Medical Aid and Rescue Care)
  • OPITO FRC Boatman
