Company currently have vacancies for Deckhandsin its ERRV/MRV fleet.

Various start dates available.

Permanent contract. 4 weeks on/off rotation Suitable candidates require to have a minimum of 6 months relevant sea time and have worked as a Deckhand previously, preferably on an ERRV vessel.

  • STCW Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1)
  • STCW Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (A-VI/1-2)
  • STCW Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)
  • STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (A-VI/1-4)
  • Seafarers medical.
  • Preferred certificates
  • OPITO ITSO (or Medical Aid and Rescue Care)
  • OPITO FRC Boatman

Deckhand is responsible for the following

The execution of duties as designated by watch keeping rota. Deckhand is responsible to the Watch Keeping Officer on Watch for any / all duties.

  • Responsible to the Coxswain when engaged as a Rescue Craft crew member.
  • Deckhands should be familiar with the use of Breathing Apparatus and possess basic Fire Fighting Skills.
  • Forming part of both the vessel's on board Emergency Response team, and Rescue Craft's whereby applicable.
  • Monitoring safe working practices of shore contractors during periods of maintenance
  • Actively promoting and progressing the company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
  • Actively promoting inter-departmental communications.
