The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an accountancy professional with hotel sector industry experience to join a small, growing and highly regarded accountancy firm with offices through-out Scotland.
You may have specific hotel industry experience from Practice, or you may have worked in the hotel industry and would like the variety and opportunity to work with owners, founders, and senior stakeholders that a Practice firm can offer.
Our client will consider a qualified accountant, QBE, or part-qualified accountancy professionals (study support available).
The role is offered on a hybrid working basis (3 days in-office, 2 days work at home). Flexible start / finish times possible by agreement.
The Role
You will manage a portfolio of clients, delivering a mix of accountancy, compliance, and advisory support, including:
Preparation of statutory accounts (FRS102 / FRS105)
Management accounts (monthly/quarterly)
VAT returns and submissions
Client advisory and regular client meetings including on-site
Overseeing payroll activity / liaise with payroll team
Supporting proposals and new business opportunities
You will also mentor junior team members and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.
About You
Specific hotel industry experience
Qualified, QBE, or P/Q
Confident working directly with owner-managed businesses / senior stakeholders
Experience with Sage and/or Xero
Knowledge of the Scottish SMB hotel market advantageous
Can mentor and coach less experienced colleagues
Progression
