We are recruiting for an interesting and varied Accounts Assistant role within a small, friendly, and growing accountancy practice in the Crieff area. Joining a warm and supportive team, you will provide essential support to a qualified Accountant, a part-qualified Accountant, and a Partner, working across a diverse range of client accounts.
Experience & Skills Required
- 3 to 4+ years of experience in Ledger Management: Data processing, input, and verification; managing sales and purchase ledgers.
- Reconciliations: Invoice, cash, and bank reconciliations.
- Account Preparation: Assisting with P&Ls, helping prepare final accounts, and supporting self-assessments.
- Payroll & HMRC: Assisting with payroll runs and making enquiries with HMRC.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and experience with Xero (or similar accounting software).
Qualifications & Background
- Education: AAT Level 2 / 3 or equivalent.
- Practice Experience: Previous experience within a UK Accountancy Practice is a major advantage.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with owner-managed/small business clients (specifically FRS 102 and FRS 105) is highly desirable.
- Compliance: You must hold the right to work in the UK (documentary evidence required).

- Hybrid Working: This is an office-based role, with hybrid options available following the successful completion of your probation period.
